Photos of the Loft
The loft is only 40 feet away from the East River next to the Manhattan Bridge in a pre-war industrial building with wood floors/columns/ceilings and an unobstructed view through 5 large windows on an exposed brick wall that has been sandblasted and sealed. The interior is furnished and designed to elicit a securely warm and comfortable feeling.
The place was designed by Scott Bolden to inspire an immediate sense of psychological, spiritual and physical comfort. The entire floor of the loft is maple stained a deep red with a high gloss finish. There is over 1100sf of open common space including the kitchen, which is equipped with a refrigerator, porcelain sink, dishwasher and gas stove. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a large boomerang shaped mosaic bar top with ambient lighting below. There is a bathtub mounted on a raised mosaic platform in the living room just outside the larger bedroom plus a separate bathroom with a multilevel glass bead terraced floor, shower, pedestal sink, toilet and a uniquely special mirror.
